Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 December 2025
Using the verification service
Certyvault provides certificate lookups so employers, admissions teams, and individuals can confirm whether a certificate matches an active record held by the partner institution that issued it. The service is provided for genuine verification purposes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use automated tools to scrape or bulk-query the verification service, attempt to access records outside the normal lookup flow, or use the service to harass a certificate holder or misrepresent a verification result.
Accuracy of results
Results are returned live from the issuing partner's registry at the time of the lookup. Certyvault relies on partner institutions to keep their own records accurate and up to date, and is not responsible for errors originating in a partner's underlying registry.
No account required
Running a certificate lookup doesn't require creating an account or agreeing to a separate license. These terms apply to your use of the public verification tool and website.
Partner institutions
Training providers, universities, and certification bodies that wish to make their credentials verifiable through Certyvault are subject to a separate partnership agreement covering data handling and integration.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the verification service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
